WeToon Service Terms of Use
Chapter 1 (Purpose)
Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms and conditions aim to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the company, JGB Public Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'the Company'), and users concerning the use of the services provided by the Company, WeToon (hereinafter referred to as 'the Service').
Article 2 (Effectiveness and Changes to the Terms of Use)
1.These terms come into effect when the user agrees to them upon signing up for the Service.
2.The Company may change these terms within the bounds of applicable laws if there are reasonable reasons to do so, and any changes will be announced through the Company's website or notices within the Service.
3.If a user disagrees with the revised terms, they may stop using the Service and request membership withdrawal. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised terms will be considered as agreement to the changes.
Article 3 (Definitions of Terms)
1.'Service' refers to all online content and related additional services provided by the Company.
2.'Member' refers to an individual who enters into a usage contract with the Company and uses the Service.
3.'ID' refers to a combination of email addresses or letters and numbers set by the member and approved by the Company for identification and use of the Service.
4.'Password' refers to a combination of letters and numbers set by the member for personal information protection.
5.Definitions of terms not specified in these terms follow the related laws and Service guidelines.
Chapter 2 Service Use Contract
Article 1 (Formation of Usage Contract)
1.The usage contract for the Service is formed when the user applies for the Service through the procedures set by the Company and the Company approves it.
2.The Company may refuse usage applications in the following cases:
•When the application is not made under a real name or is a case of identity theft.
•When false information is provided.
•When other requirements set by the Company are not met.
Article 2 (Application for Service Use)
1.Users must complete the application form provided by the Company and submit it after agreeing to the terms.
2.The Company may cancel approval for the use if the contents of the application form are found to be false.
Article 3 (Protection and Use of Personal Information)
1.The Company strives to protect members' personal information in accordance with applicable laws.
2.The Company uses personal information only within the scope necessary to provide and improve the Service and does not disclose it to third parties without the member's consent.
3.Members must keep their personal information up to date, and they are responsible for any issues arising from negligence in doing so.
Article 4 (Restrictions on Service Use)
1.The Company may restrict or suspend service use for members in the following cases:
•Violation of these terms or related laws.
•Defaming the Company's reputation or interfering with its business.
•Other cases deemed necessary by the Company for Service provision.
2.Detailed standards for service use restrictions follow the Company's policy.
Chapter 3 Obligations of the Contracting Parties
Article 1 (Obligations of the Company)
1.The Company strives to provide stable and continuous service.
2.The Company strives to protect members' personal information and processes it in accordance with applicable laws.
3.The Company makes efforts to address members' complaints regarding the Service promptly.
Article 2 (Obligations of Members)
1.Members must comply with these terms and related laws and must not interfere with the Company's normal business operations.
2.Members may not transfer or lend their ID and password to others.
3.Members must not engage in the following activities in connection with Service use:
•Registering false information.
•Stealing or misusing others' personal information.
•Interfering with the operation of the Company's Service.
Article 3 (Payment Cancellation and Refunds)
1.Members may request a refund within seven days of payment in accordance with consumer rights laws. However, refunds may be restricted in the following cases:
•If the Service has already been used.
•If issues arise due to the member's responsibility.
•Other cases where refund restrictions are determined by related laws.
2.Refund requests must be submitted to the Company following the prescribed procedures, and the refund process follows the Company's internal policy.
Article 4 (Service Usage Time and Restrictions)
1.The Service is available 24/7 unless there are special reasons due to business or technical issues.
2.The Company may temporarily suspend Service provision in case of system inspection, replacement, failure, or other unavoidable reasons.
3.The Company may restrict or suspend Service use after prior notice.
4.The Service relies on external services, including APIs like ChatGPT, Claude Sonnet, and Stable Diffusion. Issues, interruptions, or limitations in these external services may impact the Service, for which the Company assumes no responsibility.
Article 5 (Copyright and Service Management)
1.The copyright of webtoons created within the Service belongs to the member who created them.
2.Members are fully responsible for any legal disputes arising from content they create and may not hold the Company responsible.
3.The Company reserves the right to review, delete, or modify content uploaded by members to maintain Service quality.
4.Members may not replicate, distribute, modify, transmit, publish, or commercially use Service content without the Company's explicit consent.
These terms take effect from the date of the member's agreement and apply between the Company and the member.
